Koran Dunbar writer/director/producer/actor was born in Hartford Connecticut, but grew up in Pennsylvania living with his grandparents after my mother passedaway. Koran attended high school at GreencastleAntrimHigh Schoolwhere he found a way to exercise his humor and acting skills in television productions class. After high school he attended PennStateUniversitywhere he studied communication media studies. The struggles of being a single father and raising a child by himself at the age of 20 and still have the dream to be an actor is what kept him restless when he tried to forget about this dream. Without his son, he would not be where he is today. Koran began writing Greencastle in 2010 after one of his heroes and biggest supporters, his grandmother passed away. During this quarter-life-crisis he watched a local filmmaker create a film that actually looked like a film which gave him the blind confidence he needed to write a script and turn that into a “real” film.
